SKATEPARK TERMS, CONDITIONS & PARTICIPATION WAIVER (UK)

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This document contains a waiver of liability and assumption of risk. By signing, you are giving up certain legal rights.

1. CONTRACT

1.1 These Terms govern all access to and participation in any activities provided by the skatepark operator ("the Venue").

1.2 Activities include (but are not limited to): skateboarding, BMX, scootering, inline skating, coaching, events, parties, equipment hire, and general use of the premises ("Activities").

1.3 By booking, entering, or participating, you confirm you have read and understood these Terms, agree to be legally bound by them, and accept all inherent risks involved.

1.4 A booking is only confirmed once accepted and paid.

2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

2.1 Participation in skatepark activities is inherently dangerous and involves risk of serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

2.2 Risks include (but are not limited to): falls, collisions, failed manoeuvres, contact with ramps, surfaces, or other users, equipment failure, lack of skill or misjudgement.

2.3 You voluntarily and expressly accept all risks, whether foreseeable or not.

3. SUPERVISION & RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 The Venue does not provide supervision.

3.2 Participants are responsible for their own safety at all times.

3.3 Parents/guardians are fully responsible for minors, individuals lacking capacity, and anyone under their supervision.

3.4 Minimum age: 5 years.

3.5 Under 10s and individuals requiring support must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must remain onsite at all times.

3.6 Maximum ratio: 1 adult to 10 children.

4. MEDICAL & FITNESS REQUIREMENTS

4.1 You confirm you are in good health, physically capable, and not suffering from any condition that increases risk.

4.2 You must not participate if you have heart, lung or circulatory conditions, back/neck/bone/joint conditions, recent surgery, high blood pressure, pregnancy, or neurological conditions.

4.3 Epilepsy must be controlled and participant must be accompanied. Down's Syndrome / Dwarfism requires medical clearance.

5. SAFETY & EQUIPMENT

5.1 All participants must ride within their ability and not attempt unsafe manoeuvres.

5.2 Helmets mandatory under 16. Strongly recommended for all users.

5.3 Equipment must be safe and fit for purpose.

6. CONDUCT & ENFORCEMENT

6.1 You must follow all rules, signage, and staff instructions, and respect other users.

6.2 Zero tolerance for aggression, abuse, drugs, alcohol, or dangerous behaviour.

6.3 The Venue may refuse entry, remove participants, or ban individuals without refund.

7. BOOKINGS, REFUNDS & COMMERCIAL TERMS

7.1 24-hour cooling-off period (unless within 24h of session).

7.2 After cooling-off: no refunds, transfers only (discretionary).

7.3 Group bookings require 14 days' notice. No refunds within 14 days.

7.4 No refunds for late arrival, non-attendance, or removal due to behaviour.

8. LIABILITY

8.1 Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8.2 Subject to 8.1, participation is entirely at your own risk. The Venue shall not be liable for injury or loss.

8.3 Liability is limited to the amount paid.

9. INDEMNITY

9.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Venue from any claims arising from your actions, breach of these Terms, or any person under your supervision.

10. MEDIA CONSENT

10.1 You consent to photography and video recording. Content may be used for marketing.

11. PRIVACY

11.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with UK data protection laws.

12. DECLARATION

By signing, you confirm you have read and understood these Terms, accept all risks, are physically fit to participate, agree to comply with all rules, and accept this as a legally binding agreement. For minors, parent/guardian confirms responsibility and consent.
